Welcome to my new blog series “All About Crystals”. I decided to start this blog series because I have been collecting crystals and carrying them with me when I need the extra energy. While I may not know exactly how crystals came to be and how exactly to use them. I hope this series will enlighten me through research I’ll conduct to provide my readers (you!) the most accurate information I can. With that being said, the first crystal I am going to discuss is Rose Quartz, which I find fitting because it is the day after Valentine’s Day (known as Singles Awareness Day).
WHAT IS IT?
Found in India, South Africa and Brazil and born in Madagascar, rose quartz is known as the stone of unconditional love and positive loving energy. This is a romance stone and it generally brings the energy of love. Because it is a soothing and calming stone (as quartz generally tends to be) it fosters forgiveness, reconciliation, empathy and forgiveness towards those you love. Some use this stone to attract new love or more love in their lives.
Rose quartz can either be in its tumbled form (smooth and slightly opaque) or in its pure crystal form.
HOW IS IT USED?
To attract love in your relationships and/or life, place the stone next to your bed before you sleep. You can also meditate with the stone by placing it on your chest near your heart or moving it in small circular motions over your chest area while you breathe and focus on your emotions and your heart’s desires. Personally speaking, I meditate with my rose quartz as well as keep it in my pocket or purse when I need to focus on calming my emotions for the day. This crystal may be cleansed with water.
This crystal personally makes me feel more genuinely calm and I can feel it open my heart and my mind to think and feel more rationally. It is an incredible and soothing feeling when that wave of calmness and love flows through me after meditating with rose quartz.
Be sure to keep this precious stone out of direct sunlight as the color will fade.
Until next time,
